1. Who We Are
SheetPilot ("we", "us", "our") is a done-for-you Google Sheets automation service operated from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. We provide implementation services that build automation inside our clients' existing Google Workspace accounts. Our website is sheetpilot.in.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage our services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Contact information: Name, phone number (WhatsApp), email address, and business name — when you fill our contact form, send us a WhatsApp message, or email us.
- Business information: Industry type, monthly revenue range, and description of your Google Sheets usage — provided during the audit call or intake form.
- Communication records: WhatsApp message history, email correspondence, and call notes related to your inquiry or project.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Website usage data: Pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, and browser/device type — collected via standard server logs and (if enabled) Google Analytics.
- Cookies: We use only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
2.3 What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect, store, or process your Google Sheets data, business transaction data, inventory records, customer data, or any operational data from your business.
- We do not store payment card information. Payments are processed via UPI/bank transfer; no card data passes through our systems.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule the audit call.
- To provide the automation implementation service you have engaged us for.
- To send you project-related communications (scope documents, test reports, go-live confirmations).
- To send invoices and payment receipts.
- To provide ongoing support during your support period.
- To improve our website and service offerings (using aggregated, anonymised data only).
We will never use your contact information to send unsolicited marketing messages. If we send any service updates or product announcements, you can opt out at any time by replying "STOP" on WhatsApp or "Unsubscribe" by email.
4. Your Business Data & Google Workspace
During implementation, we request temporary editor access to specific Google Sheets in your Google Workspace account. The following applies absolutely:
- Your business data (inventory, orders, payments, etc.) is processed within your Google Workspace using Google Apps Script — it is never exported to or stored on any external server we control.
- Our processing Web App receives data temporarily during a single report generation cycle. This data is not logged, stored, or retained after the cycle completes.
- After go-live, we can (and will, upon request) remove our editor access to your Sheet. The automation runs independently within your Google account.
- We do not share, sell, analyse for our own purposes, or otherwise use your business data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service delivery: If we engage a sub-contractor to assist with a specific implementation, they are bound by the same confidentiality obligations and have access only to what is necessary for their task.
- Legal compliance: If required by applicable Indian law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfer: In the unlikely event of a merger or acquisition, your data would transfer to the successor entity under the same privacy obligations.
6. Data Retention
- Active clients: We retain contact information and project records for the duration of your service engagement plus 3 years for legal/accounting purposes.
- Prospects who did not proceed: Contact information is retained for 12 months from the last communication, then deleted.
- Website analytics: Aggregated, anonymised data is retained indefinitely. IP-level data is not retained.
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information:
- All data transmission between your browser and our website is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS).
- Communication between trigger scripts and our processing Web App uses HTTPS with secure token authentication.
- Contact information is stored in Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Contacts, Drive) protected by Google's enterprise-grade security.
- WhatsApp communications are end-to-end encrypted by WhatsApp's protocol.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we implement industry-standard practices appropriate for a business of our size and type.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable Indian law (Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules) and as a matter of good practice, you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Opt-out: Opt out of any marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@sheetpilot.in or via WhatsApp. We will respond within 14 business days.
9. Cookies
Our website uses only technically necessary cookies required for basic site functionality (e.g., maintaining your session). We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies that would require a cookie consent banner. If this changes, we will update this policy and add appropriate consent mechanisms.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website contains links to WhatsApp and Google services. Once you leave our website, this Privacy Policy does not apply. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
11. Children's Privacy
